Renewable Energy Activist
Energy for Life Art Contest Organizer Co-developed the Energy for Life Art Contest with Cape Wind Associates of Boston, Massachusetts. Students from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket were invited to submit artwork illustrating their vision of the future as a result of wind power. Students also submitted a short essay to accompany their work. Tracey Babin, an eleventh grader from Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, painted a picture of a baby playing in the sand with windmills on the distant horizon. In her essay, she wrote: "Through my artwork I have tried to display the appeal of the Cape—a healthy prosperous environment—with the help of wind powered energy." | | |
